First Place in Open, Judge: Mrs Margaret Davies (Glenorchy)
Firstly many thanks to the Society for inviting me to judge at their Premier Show which was run very efficiently and had a lovely friendly atmosphere (the rosettes were super too) Thanks to my two very efficient stewards who kept me on track and last but by no means least the exhibitors for the lovely entry and their sportsmanship in accepting my decisions. I had some super dogs to go over, I had to split hairs and I could have done with more cards as many good dogs had to go home without one.
super blue and tan dog with good otter head, nice dark eye and good expression, good ear placement. Good depth of muzzle with lovely teeth. Good reach of neck flowing into well placed shoulders. He has a good narrow front and nice feet. Good jacket and pelt. Correct tailset. Nice level topline which he held on the move. He gels so well with his handler. Pleased to award him BOB.
