Richmond Championship Show (11-09-2021)

First Place in Limit - Dog, Judge: Mr Colin Girling (Benattivo)

Show Critique:

Thank you to the committee of the Richmond show for granting my first appointment to award CC’s, I was well looked after on the day and had great support from my stewards which was very much appreciated. It was a real privilege to judge some wonderful examples of the breed and the future looks bright as there were so many wonderful puppies and juniors. I really appreciated all my entries and rewarded those in the best condition on the day, I also acknowledge that many had good breed type and quality even amongst those not in the challenge and some that were not placed in the stronger classes.

Class Critique:

Although only four in this class, the quality was outstanding and it was a real pleasure to go over these top quality dogs that all have so much to offer the breed.

Placing Critique:

A real showman who had character and condition that took him on to be my CC winner today. His head and expression are great examples of the breed standard; like that of an otter, with short muzzle and great dentition. He is easily spanned with a grizzle double coat which is harsh, tightly dense and beneath is a good thick pelt. He has a deep well laid back rib and strong closely coupled loin, rear quarters were well angulated and overall it was hard to take your eyes off this super example of the breed. He maintained his top line and carried his tail well standing and when moving with drive and purpose.
