The Scottish Border Terrier Club Limited Show (26-01-2020)

Second Place in Puppy - Bitch, Judge: Mrs J Carr (Wreighaugh)

Show Critique:

I’d like to thank the Committee for their invitation to judge this show. As always it was very well organised and there was a very hospitable welcome. Thanks to my steward who kept things moving along. Thank you also to the exhibitors for the excellent entry and, despite a few absentees, I had some lovely Borders to go over. Coats were very varied; mouths were good and there were no kinked tails. Thank you to all the exhibitors and spectators who came and supported the show and created such a good atmosphere.

Placing Critique:

6 month old grizzle and tan. A shy puppy with a nice feminine head with good dentition. She has a nice reach of neck and a straight, narrow front. Very easily spanned. Nice outline and a lot of good loose pelt. Moved away nicely in this class although in subsequent classes she was a bit more reluctant. I’m sure when she gains more confidence she’ll do well.
