The Scottish Border Terrier Club Limited Show (26-01-2020)

Second Place in Open - Dog, Judge: Mrs J Carr (Wreighaugh)

Show Critique:

I’d like to thank the Committee for their invitation to judge this show. As always it was very well organised and there was a very hospitable welcome. Thanks to my steward who kept things moving along. Thank you also to the exhibitors for the excellent entry and, despite a few absentees, I had some lovely Borders to go over. Coats were very varied; mouths were good and there were no kinked tails. Thank you to all the exhibitors and spectators who came and supported the show and created such a good atmosphere.

Placing Critique:

5 year old grizzle. There was not a lot to choose between these first two. Lovely head with a strong jaw and teeth. Nice reach of neck and rib though slightly shorter than 1. Good tail set and strong loin. Good coat and pelt. Held his topline on the move however on the day I just preferred the movement of 1.
