The Scottish Border Terrier Club Limited Show (26-01-2020)

First Place in Junior - Dog, Judge: Mrs J Carr (Wreighaugh)

Show Critique:

I’d like to thank the Committee for their invitation to judge this show. As always it was very well organised and there was a very hospitable welcome. Thanks to my steward who kept things moving along. Thank you also to the exhibitors for the excellent entry and, despite a few absentees, I had some lovely Borders to go over. Coats were very varied; mouths were good and there were no kinked tails. Thank you to all the exhibitors and spectators who came and supported the show and created such a good atmosphere.

Placing Critique:

13-month-old grizzle and tan. Very nice head, moderately broad with a lovely dark eye and keen expression. Strong jaw and muzzle. Good length of neck leading to good shoulders and a nice narrow front. Easily spanned. He has a good length of rib and a strong loin, nice tail set. Good rear angulation and musculature moved with drive. Good loose pelt.
