Guildford & District Canine Society Open Show (08-12-2019)

Second Place in Puppy, Judge: Mrs Sandra Girling (Benattivo)

Show Critique:

My thanks firstly go to the Society for the kind invitation to judge this show and also to the exhibitors who trusted me with their lovely Border Terriers. All my class winners were of very good quality and were in super condition which was very pleasing. I did feel some of the exhibits perhaps weren’t so comfortable on the arena surface. Also some were not awfully animated which I felt may have been contributed to the cold weather as they seemed not to be very relaxed through the loin.

Placing Critique:

Another very nice 7 month old puppy that also shined in the ring today. She has an attractive feminine head, neat ear, strong short muzzle and a keen expression with a good straight front and has a well angulated rear. Moderate length of neck into a level top line and well set tail. A nice size puppy that spanned well. Her blue and tan double jacket was of good texture. She too moves well for such a young girl. Close decision to the winner who today slightly took it on length of stride.
