The East Anglia Border Terrier Club Open Show (17-11-2019)

Second Place in Post Graduate - Bitch, Judge: Mrs Jenny Miller (Feorlig)

Show Critique:

I must thank the officers and committee for allowing me to judge their Club Open show which was a great honour and which I really enjoyed. The hospitality and the friendly atmosphere made for a nice show and the quality of the dogs was exceptional. I must thank the Club for the lovely gift and Jan Hollingsbee for the flowers which are still alive and looking good. I must also thank my steward Julie Green who gave up her entry to steward for me.

Placing Critique:

Little separated these two very smart bitches I just like the substance and the look of maturity of my winner although there is really little difference in their ages. Very attractive on the stance and equally nice to go over, I really liked her head of otter shape, lovely well set on and used ears, giving expression to her dark round kind eyes. Nice stop and short muzzle. Proud head carriage held on strong moderate neck into well laid-back shoulders, correct span. Firm level back to croup with high set tail well held and carried. Well angulated front and hindquarters. Depth and moderate width to chest, straight balanced legs straight bone and small tight feet. Hindquarters with moderate stifle and short hocks. Well ribbed back into a body with depth and substance, well presented and conditioned harsh grizzle jacket with undercoat. Positive sound mover with good easy stride with reach and drive.
