First Place in Junior, Judge: Mrs Sue Baxter (Mysulan/Sulan)
My thanks go to the committee for their invitation to judge Borders and the hospitality received on the day , both were much appreciated. My steward Jean Walker helped keep things on track , thank you . I am grateful for the sporting way in which my decisions were accepted and thanks go to all the exhibitors who gave me entries and allowed me the pleasure of going over their dogs .
In general , one or 2 exhibits may have been carrying a little too much “condition” and benefit from perhaps a better work to calorie ratio. Feet were good and all dogs appeared to be intact .Bites all seemed correct at this stage and no sign of any kinked tails.
a workmanlike but feminine grizzle bitch . Good proportions and bone . Topline and tail set correct .Attractive headpiece and expression , being picky perhaps ears could be a tad smaller but set on well to complete the overall picture. Moved well fore and aft . Lovely jacket of the required texture. Pushed hard in the challenge.
