First Place in Puppy, Judge: Mrs Sue Baxter (Mysulan/Sulan)
My thanks go to the committee for their invitation to judge Borders and the hospitality received on the day , both were much appreciated. My steward Jean Walker helped keep things on track , thank you . I am grateful for the sporting way in which my decisions were accepted and thanks go to all the exhibitors who gave me entries and allowed me the pleasure of going over their dogs .
In general , one or 2 exhibits may have been carrying a little too much “condition” and benefit from perhaps a better work to calorie ratio. Feet were good and all dogs appeared to be intact .Bites all seemed correct at this stage and no sign of any kinked tails.
soon to be 10 month old grizzle bitch …Narrow throughout , comes to hand easily , ribbed well back . Holds top line standing and on the move. Nice tail set. Feminine head and expression . Coat texture and pelt correct. Covers the ground on the move with racy hindquarters , needs time to mature and grow into her frame .. BPIB and Terrier Puppy Group 2.
