First Place in Puppy - Dog, Judge: Anne Speake
I would like to thank the officers and committee for their invitation to judge at the show. The hospitality received was much appreciated, and the day was one I really enjoyed. It was lovely to see such a good entry for the show as a whole, my thanks to my two capable stewards, who kept things moving along nicely. Thanks also to the exhibitors who did me the honour and privilege of going over their dogs and accepting my decisions in a sporting manner. All exhibits were of good quality and fit for purpose. As to be expected at this time of year, coats were at various stages. I was delighted with my entry.
11 mth old dark grizzle dog, well grown and mature for age with an attractive masculine otter head, short muzzle, neat ears and little stop. Nice dark eye with keen expression. Good reach of neck and well placed shoulders, good length of rib, leading in to a level top line and short carroty tail well set on. With a thick loose pelt and sporting a harsh double coat. With a good angulations fore and aft enabling him to move around the ring with drive. Pleased to award him BD BOB BPIB and later see he went BIS3 and BPIS
