First Place in Post Graduate, Judge: Mrs Jill Stevens (Cobstoneway)
I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge and for the warm welcome and hospitality on the day. Thank you also to my 2 efficient stewards, and most of all to the exhibitors for allowing me the privilege of going over their lovely dogs. All the dogs were entire, and I found no kinked tails or incorrect dentition.
This blue and tan bitch is lovely for size and type, and comes to hand so well. She has a feminine otter like head with strong jaws and big teeth in a good scissor bite. Her moderate neck flows into well placed shoulders, and she has a nice length of body with level topline and correct tailset, narrow ribs carried well back, and is easily spanned. She moves steadily and accurately, having good angulation front and rear, a good length of upper arm and well muscled hindquarters. Her harsh topcoat, good undercoat and thick, loose pelt would give her excellent protection out working. She has everything in moderation, without exaggeration. RBOB.
