First Place in Junior, Judge: Mrs Jill Stevens (Cobstoneway)
I would like to thank the committee for giving me the honour of judging at this lovely show, and for the hospitality shown on the day. Thank you also to my 2 very efficient stewards, Lesley and Judith, but most of all I would like to thank all the exhibitors who gave me such a lovely entry of quality dogs which were a pleasure to go over. I found no bad mouths, no kinked tails, and all the dogs were entire. Coats were at various stages, as to be expected, but none of the exhibits were without the correct double coat needed by a working terrier.
This 1 year old grizzle and tan dog was in tip top condition and certainly active and game, moving accurately, driving out from well muscled hindquarters and really covering the ground. He has a superb ottery head with a strong jaw and dark eye, moderate neck flowing into well placed narrow shoulders. His front is straight and his ribs are narrow and carried well back. He is spannable, has a loose pelt and really harsh topcoat, just slightly short on undercoat. RBOB
