Second Place in Puppy, Judge: Mrs Jill Stevens (Cobstoneway)
I would like to thank the committee for giving me the honour of judging at this lovely show, and for the hospitality shown on the day. Thank you also to my 2 very efficient stewards, Lesley and Judith, but most of all I would like to thank all the exhibitors who gave me such a lovely entry of quality dogs which were a pleasure to go over. I found no bad mouths, no kinked tails, and all the dogs were entire. Coats were at various stages, as to be expected, but none of the exhibits were without the correct double coat needed by a working terrier.
An 8 month old grizzle and tan dog who is slightly taller and gave the winner a good run for her money. He has a lovely otter head with a broad, strong muzzle, good bite, dark eye and keen expression. His front is straight and narrow, and his good reach of neck flows into nicely placed shoulders. He moves with drive, holding a level topline.
