The Sporting Terrier Association Of Yorkshire Open Show (22-10-2017)

Second Place in Puppy, Judge: Debbie Lorraine (Raleniro)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge at this show. I understand this was the first of their shows to be held at this venue and it was a shame that the entry across all breeds was quite low. It is a good venue with spacious rings, and I do hope that terrier exhibitors in the area support this Association’s future shows. Thank you to my Steward, and most importantly, thank you to the exhibitors who entered their dogs under me. It was a small but quality entry with some close decisions. Thank you for the sporting way in which you accepted my decisions. I found no incorrect bites and all dogs were entire.

Placing Critique:

Just short of 12 months old grizzle and tan bitch. Finer throughout, typical feminine head but not quite the strength of muzzle of 1. Good for size and easily spanned. Excellent thick pelt but not quite the depth of coat of winner. Lovely topline and tailset. Moved steadily around the ring but couldn’t match the front movement of 1.
