The Sporting Terrier Association Of Yorkshire Open Show (22-10-2017)

First Place in Puppy, Judge: Debbie Lorraine (Raleniro)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge at this show. I understand this was the first of their shows to be held at this venue and it was a shame that the entry across all breeds was quite low. It is a good venue with spacious rings, and I do hope that terrier exhibitors in the area support this Association’s future shows. Thank you to my Steward, and most importantly, thank you to the exhibitors who entered their dogs under me. It was a small but quality entry with some close decisions. Thank you for the sporting way in which you accepted my decisions. I found no incorrect bites and all dogs were entire.

Placing Critique:

11 month old grizzle and tan bitch with lots to like. Lovely otter head, with good width of skull but still feminine. Dark eye with typical expression. Strong muzzle with excellent scissor bite. Best of fronts with tight feet. Lovely length of neck and layback of shoulder, spanned easily with good length of rib. Loose pelt with jacket of correct harsh texture and thick undercoat. Moved with drive around the ring holding her topline and moved true coming and going. Nothing overdone, a nice size and presented a balanced picture. Very pleased to give her BPIB and was delighted to see her awarded Best Puppy In Show.
