First Place in Junior - Bitch
I would like to thank the officers and committee for the invitation to judge the Border terrier bitches, with my co judge, Bridget Singh. The hospitality received was much appreciated, and the day was one I really enjoyed. It was lovely to see such a good entry for the show as a whole, and that the borders had attracted the largest entry in the terrier group, my thanks to our two capable stewards, who kept things moving along nicely. Thanks also to the exhibitors who did me the honour and privilege of going over their bitches and accepting my decisions in a sporting manner. All exhibits were of good quality and fit for purpose and I was delighted with my entry. Bridget and I agreed on the bitches for BOB and BPIB.
11 month blue & tan with a nice head and keen expression, if rather large in ear at the moment. Has a good scissor bite, a nice straight front, with good reach of neck leading into good shoulders, ribs carried well back and good length of body. Good rear angulation, with a nice bend of stifle, well set on tail, moved well, excellent double jacket with ticking, has a loose pelt. BPB and BPIB, due to her good movement and being more mature than the puppy dog.
