First Place in Open, Judge: Mrs Sandra Girling (Benattivo)
Many thanks to the Society for the kind invitation to judge and also to the exhibitors who trusted me with their lovely Border Terriers. All my class winners were of very good quality and were in super condition which was very pleasing.
19 month old blue and tan male, with a very nice head all in moderation his ears were well placed and correct size. He has dark eyes and a strong jaw with the largest of teeth. His body was narrow through; he also has a good front and hind angulation which flows into a level top line and neat carrot shape tail. He spans well and has a correct rib. He was in the best of jackets which was thick harsh and loose. I loved everything about him his overall balance and construction which enables him to move accurately with good length of stride. He fits my interpretation of the breed standard. I was delighted to award him my Best of Breed he then went on to win TG1.
