The Terrier Club Of Scotland Open Show (16-10-2016)

First Place in Limit - Bitch, Judge: Mrs Tina Jones (Otterholme)

Show Critique:

My sincere thanks to the committee for the invite to judge at this well run and welcoming show and to my efficient steward who kept things flowing allowing me to focus on the task in hand. Lastly and most importantly the exhibitors, for your entry and sporting manner that my decisions were accepted.
I am always mindful when judging the breed, that it is essentially a working terrier so therefore I am looking for a terrier that is fit for function. Some I struggled to span, which had a bearing on my placings. Pleasing to find the majority had ample pelts, but on the flip side some lacked for me enough undercoat to afford protection, if they were in the working arena.

Placing Critique:

more compact in size but all in proportion. Another with a pleasing head with a strong jaw. Moved out well with a long reaching stride, nice reach of neck into correct shoulder placement, excellent level top line, pleasing overall.
