The Terrier Club Of Scotland Open Show (16-10-2016)

First Place in Post Graduate - Bitch, Judge: Mrs Tina Jones (Otterholme)

Show Critique:

My sincere thanks to the committee for the invite to judge at this well run and welcoming show and to my efficient steward who kept things flowing allowing me to focus on the task in hand. Lastly and most importantly the exhibitors, for your entry and sporting manner that my decisions were accepted.
I am always mindful when judging the breed, that it is essentially a working terrier so therefore I am looking for a terrier that is fit for function. Some I struggled to span, which had a bearing on my placings. Pleasing to find the majority had ample pelts, but on the flip side some lacked for me enough undercoat to afford protection, if they were in the working arena.

Placing Critique:

one I have judged before, who never fails to impress, and she continues to flourish as she gets older. So balanced throughout, for me she has the required narrowness, whilst not losing any substance. Super head and very feminine, correct in rib, hence easy to span. Picture further complimented with her lovely harsh jacket with plenty of undercoat. Another you could confidently take out for a day’s work in the field.
