The Scottish Border Terrier Club Open Show (07-06-2015)

First Place in Novice - Bitch, Judge: Mrs Ann Maltby (Pherjan)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the committee of the Scottish Border Terrier Club for the invitation to judge the show. Thanks also to my very able steward Joyce Orr and to the ladies in the kitchen for the excellent lunch. There were no bad mouths and all the males were entire. Coats were at various stages of growth on some exhibits but my principal winners had good double coats.

Placing Critique:

Good length of body and narrow throughout, with ribs laid well back and easily spanned. Flat skull with strong jaw and correct bite. Angulation was good both back and front, thick pliable pelt covered by a dense double coat.Moved out well holding a level topline which was finished with a carrot shaped tail. RBB
