Border Terrier Club Open Show (31-10-2009)

First Place in Open - Bitch, Judge: Mrs. Karen Dean (Tyrian)

Show Critique:

I would first like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge, and to them and my stewards, Frank Nicholls and Paul Cheeseman for looking after me so well on the day, and lastly to all those who exhibited and accepted my decisions so graciously. It was a long, exhausting but very enjoyable day for me. I absolutely loved my best dog, best bitch and best puppy, they were all lovely and narrow, well balanced with small tight feet, sound movement and not overdone in any way. I would take any of them home in a heartbeat.

Placing Critique:

Very attractive narrow 2 year old bitch. Well proportioned feminine head with flat skull, strong muzzle and good bite. Straight front with super tight small feet which put her nicely up on her toes. Nice length of neck flowing into well laid back shoulders and level topline held really well on the move. Good hind angulation. Moved well in both directions and with good drive. Super full harsh coat with thick pelt, coat starting to go over so not carrying quite the undercoat of 2. Lovely carrot tail well set on. Best Bitch and Best In Show. Would have a home with me any day.
