Oswestry & District Kennel Association Open Show (16-07-2023)

First Place in Open, Judge: Siân McKay (Redesholt)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge the Border Terriers today; and my thanks also to our steward, who kept the ring running smoothly and efficiently. If I have a plea to exhibitors it would be this: please pay attention to cleanliness of teeth and overall presentation especially feet and nails. Thank you.

Placing Critique:

Two-year-old grizzle and tan dog who stood alone but nevertheless presented well with a strong ‘Otter” like head with a bright interested expression from dark eyes, with strong muzzle and jaws and large teeth. Good reach of neck into well laid back shoulders; and was spannable with correct topline, underline and tailset. Turned out in good order with immaculate coat and super loose pelt, whist standing on small tidy feet. He moved with sufficient reach and drive, despite being a little unsettled for handler at times today. Best of Breed today; and pleased to hear he went on to get TG2
