The Northern Border Terrier Club Open Show (09-04-2022)

First Place in Open - Bitch, Judge: Mr. Tim Ball (Kaitak)

Show Critique:

A thoroughly enjoyable day and my thanks go to the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge their well-run Open Show. I was delighted with the excellent entry and what a pleasure it was to spend a day with the Borders and their owners. There were some well-filled classes which gave me lots to think about and some decisions were extremely close. A lovely atmosphere prevailed and applause for the winners was consistent throughout.

Placing Critique:

4 yr old who I felt won this class with ease. Not making the best of herself but even so her quality was clearly evident. Feminine throughout, I thought her so good for type and she was lovely to go over. Neck of correct length to balance, straight topline, ribs extend well back, firm muscular loin and thick, moderately short tail which is good for both set and carriage. Moderately broad skull, dark expressive eyes, decent ears, short strong muzzle and scissor bite. Well laid shoulders, straight forelegs, super feet and firm, muscular hindquarters with good turn of stifle. Moving well all through. Excellent jacket and pelt.
