The East Anglia Border Terrier Club Open Show (17-11-2019)

Second Place in Open - Dog, Judge: Mrs Jenny Miller (Feorlig)

Show Critique:

I must thank the officers and committee for allowing me to judge their Club Open show which was a great honour and which I really enjoyed. The hospitality and the friendly atmosphere made for a nice show and the quality of the dogs was exceptional. I must thank the Club for the lovely gift and Jan Hollingsbee for the flowers which are still alive and looking good. I must also thank my steward Julie Green who gave up her entry to steward for me.

Placing Critique:

Very nice balance and workman like, just a somewhat different type of boy and of slightly heavier build. Masculine Otter shaped head, dark expressive eyes, well set on ears just not used to advantage. Strong short muzzle well furnished. Muscular neck of moderate neck well laid-back shoulders, firm level top-line to well set tail. Good depth and width to chest brisket and a body with substance, well ribbed back into strong loin. Straight forelegs well boned to tight compact feet with good pads. Rear quarters with moderate angle and short hocks. Slightly open coated but having a harsh texture to a dark grizzle coat. Very free sound mover covering the ground well.
