Minehead & DCS Open Show (10-11-2019)

First Place in Puppy, Judge: Miss Judith Haydon

Show Critique:

My thanks to the Committee at Minehead & District Canine Society for kindly inviting me to Judge the Border Terrier Classes at their Open Show in November 2019. I thoroughly enjoyed my appointment, and although I had a relatively small entry, all the dogs were of an excellent quality and a pleasure to go over. My final decisions were only made on the smallest of margins, and I am grateful to the exhibitors for accepting my decisions in a true sporting manner. My thanks also to my organised and efficient stewards on the day.

Placing Critique:

7 month old bitch, with a lot to like. Attractive head and good reach of neck into a correct shoulder leading to a good, level top line and nice lay of rib. This puppy has a super harsh double coat and moved well around the ring, especially for her young handler (who is also showing great promise in the ring for such a young age!).
