Leek & DSS Open Show (27-07-2019)

Second Place in Open, Judge: Mrs C E Sansom (Tarkaswell)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the Leek and District Show Society for inviting me to judge at their traditional agricultural show. Thanks also to my very efficient steward Sharon Bowers and to the exhibitors who gave me such a lovely entry and the honour of going over their dogs. Coats and pelts were generally good, but front movement was variable and I did find some exhibits with incorrect dentition.

Placing Critique:

This veteran grizzle and tan bitch stood out for her balanced construction, both standing and on the move. She had a feminine head, but I preferred the darker eye and smaller ear of 1. Narrow and deep, her ribs were carried well back and she was easily spanned. She was moderate in length, and moved out soundly with purpose. Presented in a good double coat with a thick, loose pelt.
