The Sporting Terrier Association Of Yorkshire Open Show (22-10-2017)

First Place in Junior, Judge: Debbie Lorraine (Raleniro)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge at this show. I understand this was the first of their shows to be held at this venue and it was a shame that the entry across all breeds was quite low. It is a good venue with spacious rings, and I do hope that terrier exhibitors in the area support this Association’s future shows. Thank you to my Steward, and most importantly, thank you to the exhibitors who entered their dogs under me. It was a small but quality entry with some close decisions. Thank you for the sporting way in which you accepted my decisions. I found no incorrect bites and all dogs were entire.

Placing Critique:

Just over 13 months old grizzle and tan dog of nice type. Typical otter head maturing nicely with keen expression. Good scissor bite. Excellent straight front and narrow throughout. Spanned easily, ribbed well back with good topline and tailset. Coat of good, harsh texture. Nice for size but doesn’t want to grow on. Moved well once settled.
