Birmingham & District Gundog and Terrier Club Show (22-10-2016)

Second Place in Junior - Dog, Judge: Anne Speake (Dogs) & Lucy Mudd (Bitches)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the officers and committee for the invitation to judge the Border Terrier dogs, with my co judge, Lucy Mudd. The hospitality received was much appreciated, and the day was very enjoyable. It was lovely to see such a good entry for the show as a whole and thanks to the stewards who kept things moving along nicely. My thanks to the exhibitors, who did me the honour and privilege of going over their dogs and accepting my decisions in a sporting manner. Anne Speake, Dog Judge

Placing Critique:

Ten month old dark Blue & Tan dog, but would have preferred more ticking. Not the head qualities of winner, but has a good scissor bite, featuring big teeth. Lovely straight narrow front, reach of neck, with ribs well back, and good length of body. Good pelt, and shown in harsh coat. . Movement improved as he settled. Built on racy lines, and easily spanned, hope he’s done all his growing. BPD
